filters for destination guide?

It would be nice to have that option , right ? Too bad we get the same bot filled trash sims that have been on the top of the list for the last decade . Too bad we have to type a key word to even see the list of popular sims within those key words . Wouldn't it be nice if it just showed us a list of all the popular sims without having to type in a key word ?

 

And lol@ excluding music . Tired of 80s music in all the boomie clubs ?

 

The " what's hot now"  actually seems to fail when the population is too low or something . I noticed in sl low traffic times , it won't even load sometimes , in both normal sl viewer and firestorm . Not that I didn't already know it was gonna be London & 15 2003 time capsule clubs.

The web version of the destination guide is a lot better and has options for filtering by type of place and by region rating. I  mainly use it to filter for General sims.

More functionality would be welcome. Perhaps even negative prompts? For example, if you search 'kids' or 'children' in an attempt to find kid friendly places then the most popular results are all things that have 'no child avis allowed,' in the keywords etc. That's fine but it's also not what I was looking for.

Those bot filled places are mostly high on the Firestorm legacy search.  If you use the official viewer/LL search, you'll get completely different results.

When I want a good club with real people, I never use the search, or the destination guide.  I use the events tab, and I pull up all results for Live Music.  I'm not really into DJs, sorry.  I have a radio next to my computer, so I don't see a reason to spend bandwidth streaming classic rock.  What I can't get any other way is live performance, from the SL community.  It's a bit of a grab bag, though.  Some days I'll discover a brilliant new performer from the other side of the planet.  Some days I find a slurring, drunken cockney from London trying to karaoke Friends In Low Places.  Even when I get a bad show, though, it's interesting to hear Friends In Low Places with a cockney accent, LOL.

I typically use SL live events group to see whats going on. 

If LL could color bots dots so we could see true avatar numbers at a venue that would be great. 

If you go onto "whats hot now" take a look at the numbers at a club then go into the "clubs" tab you will get 2 different readings of numbers lol. Im guessing the "club"shows unique avis no bots and the "whats hot" shows overall. Weird but handy.
