So, as a metal musician and K-pop dancer, I have been looking for other metal musicians or kpop dancers/fans to be friends with... It just seems hard to find any. Any other Kpop people or metal musicians here?

You'd think so, but many styles of music are connected, share the same roots, and share the same musicians and performers.

Wait until you peep my collection of industrial, downtempo, grime and drill, dubstep, international rap and hip hop, electro-tango, reggaeton, dembow, bhangra, trap, folk, world music, breakcore, merengue, flamenco, Turkish pop, and power noise. 😂

I have no recommendations, OP, but I'm fairly certain K-Pop fans exist somewhere on the platform as I've seen quite a few products targeted their way (poses, photo props, fashion, etc.). Metal - I'd try the club scene, but I don't know which ones are still around. You could also try searching for Groups related to specific genres. I know there are groups for K-Pop fans and metal fans, but I have no idea how active they are. Join and see!

I listen to a pretty diverse collection as well, but it still seems odd that she only named two, and they were those two.

I failed to mention in my earlier post: They said they were a musician in one, and a dancer in the other. 

Two different roles. 🙂 

It's like being both a violinist in a chamber orchestra, and also a ballroom dancer.

I'm starting to think people are coming after what I say just to attack? I don't get it... I listed those two genres, because one, I have a career in metal and a starting career in K-Pop, and two, those are really the only two genres I listen to? I don't understand why people keep doing this...

I guess it doesn't stand out as strange to me. I used to take ballet and also listened to grunge, metal, rap, R&B, and industrial as a kid, then picked up belly dance and music production (industrial/dark ambient) as hobbies in my early 20s while rocking out to all that and more, so I kind of get being all over the place. 😂

Yeah, that's what I said. Looking for K-Pop and/or metal fans (for friendship, yep!).

I gave a few suggestions in my first post. Try searching in-world Groups - there are a few K-Pop fan groups with over 500-700 members in them, but I don't know how active they are. There are also some metal groups, too. Some have their Discord servers listed, so that might be another avenue, too.

Attack people? Look, I'm confused, alright? Every post I've ever made has had some kind of rudeness start. It's the reason I left SL in the first place.... Rude and toxic people. I don't have many friends IRL, so I try and use SL as a place to actually make and have friends... If all it is is toxicity, then I don't know... I should've never came back.

SL is like RL, some places are toxic some are very friendly. The forums can lean toward the toxic side. Don't give up on SL based on what happens here.

Personally, I like J-Rock and metal.  The two may seem unrelated, but they're not!  And even if they weren't, it would not matter.

p.s. I like metal, my fave club when I was new was “The Metal Bunker”, but alas its long long gone. I’m still in the group though just in case.

There's a lot of toxic people in SL, but there's a lot of people who are not -- don't give up!

I don't find it strange either. I learned to play drums playing along with AC/DC, but love the "Carpenters" too!!!
