I'm a buyer , not creator, and enjoy being immersive in SL.

Last few months notice many in world groups are basically inactive and the creators' profiles list out of world socials. When a new product is intro'd we're "lucky" to even get informed. And then ,even though I'm assuming a creator is probably PP and get free uploads most creators can't be bothered to post a picture. Like the 10L and/ or 5 seconds is just too much. Just a brush off " look on Flickr" [ which requires an acct for many shops] or Discord etc.

Newest trend- PBR only new products. Stories being converted to PBR only , no legacy.

My question: How's this working out for you in general? With a stagnant user base & the world economy  does this "chase me if you  want my stuff" pay off? I wouldn't hold out much hope if a RL restaurant promoted food delivery from other restaurants to their tables  , so how is breaking the magic of SL by pushing clients  out of world  keeping customers remembering you and coming back to buy ? Which I assume is your ultimate goal.

It has made no difference to me. I lookcat the sales online because, you can be in as many groups as you want on discord, freely access it from multiple platforms without logging in and share images easily. I don't use inworld groups for shopping. I use inworld groups for socializing and events. One thing I loathe is hud shopping. If the sale requires a hud, I just won't shop

As a customer, I never check Flickr (or other platforms) when certain store owners choose to advertise their products that way. Either do it in SL and give us an inworld demo/a picture of it, or I won't bother to look at it at all. But I understand that some might be more open to that type of marketing than I am. To me, it just seems like an unnecessary, annoying hurdle.

I see a lot of creators moving from flickr to Priimfeed for more product engagement.  Sharing sales etc...

Have to say I really enjoy using primfeed - easy to navigate and I'm using it more and more to catch up with stores new releases

I tend to follow creators on Flickr to see their latest releases, there are only so many update groups you can join in world. I do not want to have to look on both Flickr and Primfeed to see what people are releasing.

I don't do anything except create and then list the item on MP, and display it inworld.

I've been involved in various businesses on MP and inworld under different alts and partners since 2008. I've always found that a new item will sell itself if it is good quality and there is a market for it. It may just take a bit of time to get attention.

I prefer letting the market do its job naturally, and this is by word of mouth. It also gives me more confidence if the item sells itself. I also keep prices low because with every sale I am potentially selling an advertisement to be rezzed and displayed somewhere in SL. People see it, click on it and find me.
