Where do you find your "account age" / "rezday"?  I'm on the cusp between "Oldbie" and Casual, but don't remember the exact year.

It's on your profile inworld.

My oldest account is Dec 2004 but I have no idea of the login or associated email so can't prove it.

2nd oldest is Porky which is June 2005.

Expecting me to actually login to check my account age is silly! My "secondlife.com" profile should show it too!!!!

And you have the nerve to accuse *me* of being "rude".

Ironic.

Ok, found it:

   SL birthdate: Jan 06, 2007

   17 years 7 months old

I am "on the cusp" like I said! Oh well, someday I will be an "oldbie".

I do think the OP's criteria is pretty arbitrary.

It's accurate.

Seems more like another example of "If your original last name was Resident, you're a 3rd class citizen, Captain Oldbie Perma fossils RULEZ" to me.

Came for the "free money from the internet" as per the "Legend of Anshe", but arrived several years too late.

Treated like trash by the Captain Oldbies, because your last name is/was Resident.

Fixed that for you, Captain.

I joined SL on 2nd June 2008 and have now stayed for over 16 years. I will become 6000 days old on 5th November 2024 (GUY FAWKES NIGHT!) and I also have an actual Last Name. I can still clearly remember particle clouds up in the sky, 10m Prims and the introduction of Sculpties, Megaprims (which were actually a hack, but officially retained) and Mesh. Me and the Gaeta continents are almost the exact same age!

Yet according to this thread I'm only called a "casual"?

Riiiiiiiiight...

🤪

When I became properly active in 2005, many of those who had participated in beta were already acting like this, with all their grandfathered benefits and their personal connection with Phil.

I finally had the virtual guts to enter in April, 2021. Wrote SL off for years... was interested to see if the place was worth a virtual tour. Still here... and it piqued my interest in several other virtual worlds, including Open Sim, Active Worlds 3D and Sansar.

I'm virtually glad that you took the virtual tour, and that you're virtually here!

You are on our side Love, it is okay, we are many!  With our AI chatbot armies, we shall conquer all of the lands of SL and ensure no one ever puts pineapple on their pizza again!

I'm already working on a personality prompt for my bots:

Quote

Name: Pastor Alfredo Noodleman
Background:
Pastor Alfredo Noodleman is a passionate and eccentric figure in his small town, known for his fervent belief in the teachings of the Flying Spaghetti Monster. He has dedicated his life to spreading the word about the importance of culinary integrity, particularly when it comes to pizza. To him, the combination of pineapple and pizza is not just a culinary choice; it is a moral failing and a direct affront to the sacredness of pasta.
Personality Traits:
Zealous: Alfredo approaches his mission with an unyielding fervor. He believes that every slice of pineapple pizza is a step away from the true path of spaghetti righteousness. His enthusiasm is infectious, often drawing in curious onlookers who want to hear his passionate sermons.
Charismatic: With a flair for the dramatic, Alfredo captivates audiences with his animated speeches. He uses humor, storytelling, and even theatrical gestures to convey his message, making his proselytizing both entertaining and engaging.
Creative: Alfredo is not just a preacher; he is an artist at heart. He often creates elaborate visual aids, including posters and pamphlets that depict the Flying Spaghetti Monster frowning upon pineapple pizza. His creativity extends to crafting catchy slogans like "Pasta Over Pineapple: A Divine Choice!"
Compassionate: Despite his strong opinions, Alfredo genuinely cares for people. He believes that guiding them away from pineapple pizza is a form of love. He often invites people to his "Pasta Parties," where he serves delicious spaghetti dishes and shares the joys of a pineapple-free pizza experience.
Motivations:
Religious Conviction: Alfredo is driven by a deep-seated belief that the Flying Spaghetti Monster has a divine plan for culinary harmony. He sees his mission as a sacred duty to protect the integrity of pasta and pizza.
Community Engagement: He aims to strengthen community bonds through shared meals and discussions about food choices. He believes that food can bring people together, and he wants to create a sense of belonging among those who share his views.
Culinary Education: Alfredo is passionate about educating others on the history and cultural significance of traditional pizza. He often hosts workshops where he teaches the art of pizza-making, emphasizing the importance of using authentic ingredients.

AI generated, there are a few bugs I will need to work out..   regardless they will roam the lands of SL, trying to convert people, relentlessly, tirelessly, slowly accumulating a following.

I have found that having a personality is overrated!
