Victoria Sugarplum Posted August 5 Posted August 5 Hi. I am having a baby in SL and I feel lost. I've done some research on the avatars and know that you can make a baby avatar using TD. However, I don't know where to go from there. Like.. clothing... interactive furniture that will allow me to feed this avatar baby... or HUDS so I can hold it. I'm assuming such things exist. Are there groups dedicated to expectant mothers in SL? Or resources like classes? Please help me to the ladies with this experience!

Purchasing an avatar baby means you need someone to.pilot that baby. A human behind the avatar. What you're looking for is an animesh baby such as a Zooby baby. There are tons of items and such for that particular brand. https://secondlife.com/destination/zooby-babies These areas may have more info about birthing and classes... https://secondlife.com/destinations/search?search=Maternity Edited August 5 by Rowan Amore

I was just going to play the alt until I can adopt a child to play the role. I want this because I bought a Bijou stroller and it is animated for mom and baby.
James Starling Posted August 8 Posted August 8 If you go down the route of making an alt and having both logged in at the same time then I recommend the Starries HUD. The kid attaches it to the their head and white lists people who have access. Then parents can click their head and do things like pick them up, hug them, sit them on things and give them stickers, food, toys etc.

I just took Brodiac's comment the wrong way. 🙂 As if, it was a "baby" not a "baby doll", so "I'm not going to change it!"
Targyn Posted August 24 Posted August 24 First - Congratulations! As for making an avatar, you can use the TD body, and the clothes, furniture, accessories, etc are just about every where. The Starries HUD is definitely the best and there is quie a bit of furnite and toys you can call the baby to. In my opinion however the Lullabeeb body is a better option for babies and alot of the clothes for TD also have options for LB. I personally think it is more realistic for a baby look and then when the baby starts getting a little older you can switch to the TD body if that is something you are looking to do. Good Luck! Wishing you peace & ❤️ 1
