Jackson Redstar Posted July 30 Posted July 30 Is there a way to control the distance on the Dynamic Level of Detail other than On/Off? It seems to be maybe 3 meters when checked On. Many times, I may need things to stay rezzed out to say 15 meters, but not the entire draw distance. If you do video you understand this frustration. With it off FPS can drop alot, but objects further out stay rezzed - but I usually don't need everything out to say, 180 meters to stay rezzed, just up to for example, 15 meters, I don't know if there is a debug setting where I can set the distance or even a way with a little work I can define the 'On' distance
Wulfie Reanimator Posted July 31 Posted July 31 (edited) There's a debug setting called RenderVolumeLODFactor, which influences the distance at which the viewer will display a lower detail model. The LOD swap-distance is determined by the size of the object. Small objects swap to lower LOD models at shorter distances. Every object has 4 levels of LOD, and creators choose how each one looks.
