RoseMcKenzieSpandau Posted July 24 Posted July 24 Q1: You could follow an outdated link to a parcel which access became limited later. At least, this seems to have happend to me. In London City. I was banned only minutes after the incident. Apart from the TP, I did not misbehave or anything. Q2: nothing. I am afraid, there is nothing. You can appeal, you can try to contact the SIM providers, if they don‘t want to listen, they just don‘t. If there were a higher body, like a Linden Court, where I can appeal to get the ban lifted and get a proper answer. I am really disappointed. London City WAS my favorite destination. I even planned to rent a store. Pity. This could happen to you everywhere, right? With nothing you could do about it? Any ideas?
Extrude Ragu Posted July 24 Posted July 24 Most sims on Second Life are privately owned - What that means is that somebody like you owns the region, not LL. It's up to the owner to manage the land how they wish. Although it is not pleasant, rightfully as the owner they can ban you for no reason at all if they like. It would not be wise for the popularity of their sim, but LL is not going to unban you from their land - It's entirely up to the land owner. Some sim owners are more friendly than others. It's just how it is. Usually people post their rules somewhere near the entrance of the sim if they have rules for their land. You could try to ask the sim owner why you were banned but they are not required to give a response.
BillFletcher Posted July 24 Posted July 24 I have been banned from sims I loved. I wrote an apologetic notecard to the sim owner, promising to never do what I did and never making excuses acknowledging that the owners will is law and that I was wrong. Doing this has caused owners to let me back in. 1
RoseMcKenzieSpandau Posted October 23 Author Posted October 23 Thanks for your answers! Meanwhile someone must have noticed my efforts and the ban has been lifted. I still got no further info or even apologies of course… My remaining question is: How do I find out the owner of the region, when I cannot TP there…?
