My avatars face keeps adding what appears to be a black mask over the mouth, cheeks and jaw.

basicly... every time i change skin it looks fine for 5 mins or so. but then over the mouth jaw ans cheeks a black mask shape appears on what i can only assume to be the skin layer, i have used these skins for a fw weeks now and this is the first time any problems with them have happend, does anyone know whats wrong? if need contact me to see for yourself in-game my user is xChrisSweetx

It sounds like a beard of some sort is trying to cover your face. If you use different viewers ensure each one has its own cache. A simple clear cache should fix you. In me preferences find something that says reset or clear cache.

It could be the cache............but I met Chris in-world and had him change skins.  It appears to be a driver problem.  He said he will update up maybe tomorrow

Nice guy.........and using a 4 year old driver. Not sure that's the entire problem but a new driver won't hurt. I thought it might be the prims for his face chains. He detached them and same problem. I didn't tell him about deleting the cache files because I wanted to eliminate the driver first.

Ok, I thought it was like a beard from a different skin or something. If his driver is that old, yeah wouldn't hurt to update

I just thought of something else.  I never asked if you were wearing a tatoo layer on your head.   If so, take it off and see if the mask goes away.
