For one thing, I'm not sure that LL has a good way to identify the account of the second person. Where LL might do some investigating is in the case of a malicious hijacking of someone's account. But that doesn't sound like what's happened here? 1

The first person said that the 2nd person lost there account but was able to get it back so they did identify the 2nd person who was involved unless the 2nd person lied to them to get it back since this 2nd person would be a Premium too Wouldn't the 2nd person be in violation regardless if they had permission or not? I didn't think LL cared about that and if the 2nd person had permission why would they take her account ?

Qie Niangao Posted July 18 Posted July 18 Did the first person contact Support as the message told them to do? (Why are they talking to your husband?) Are we confident they're telling the truth—or at least what they think is the truth? I'm not even sure I understand what's supposed to have happened. The second person (who accessed the first person's account with permission) lost access to their own account for some time and then it was restored, and we know this because the second person told the first person this? And the second person knew they lost their account access because of this, not something else? The second person was Premium… is relevant why? Because they had access to Support or something? I am so confused. 7
Rowan Amore Posted July 18 Posted July 18 Did.person talking to your husband get an email telling them they were suspended or banned for SL for a ToS violation? Was it just a popup when they tried to in that said contact support in general? I'm with @Qie Niangaoand confused. 1
Caitlin Tobias Posted July 18 Posted July 18 What was the exact message? Was it this one? I've had that a few times, ages ago. Rebooting the router fixed it. 4
diamond Marchant Posted July 19 Posted July 19 Whatever the issue is (OP is a puzzle), the people in this forum do not represent Linden Lab or their policies regarding security of accounts. If one has questions like this, they should be addressing them to Linden Lab support. 3
Polenth Yue Posted July 19 Posted July 19 In a case where they think the account was compromised, support will ask questions to confirm identity and also might check up on whether the security issues were understood. Then the account is unlocked. The locked out person needs to jump through the hoops to get things back. It doesn't happen automatically. 2
