Hello, I have been trying to make clothes, but each time I put them into SL, they never fit the body properly. It fits the dev kit body in blender, but when I put it into the game, the clothes do not fit the body anymore. The clothes move with the avatar correctly, but they do not form around the mesh body correctly (large gap between breasts, hips, and butt). I use Avastar and, whenever I try to bind the armature from the dev kit to my clothes, Blender says that Avastar cannot export it because it isn't an Avastar rig. The only way I can export it is if I use the Avastar rig. I tried converting the rig following instructions from the Avastar website, but it still does not work. I suspect this rig problem has something to do with the clothes not fitting the avatar properly. I have looked at many Youtube videos, but it seems nobody else is having a problem setting the dev kit armature as the armature for their clothes. Does anyone know what I am doing wrong?

This thread may help:

It might not be the rig itself, it might be the export settings. When I made my own mesh avatar, everything was fine except that my hands and feet were in the correct position for an adult human and the rest of me was squished up suspended in the middle, hanging from my hands and feet like some bizarre, deformed homunculus.

My export settings in Blender and my upload settings in the viewer were responsible for all of it.

I found this image from the thread particularly helpful when it comes to remembering export settings for rigged mesh.

Of course, in my setup it says "Export for SecondLife" instead. Either way, yeah. It might help.
