So don't know if i'm posting this in the right place, if not do correct me.

So i'm curious about Mc's within secondlife......no dont go trying to recruit me to "teach" me but I would like someone that might be able to answer all my questions.

First main question is there some kind of official rule book or something? I have been getting so many conflicting information.....

Second what actually Mc business? because some of these people have everything confused six ways from christmas.

I have more but honestly I want to read that rule book.

I'm not quite sure what you are asking for.  Mc?   If you're interested in the Terms of Service (TOS) that you agreed to as you joined, you'll find them at https://lindenlab.com/legal/second-life-terms-and-conditions.  If you scroll to the last section of the TOS, you'll find links to the major policies that are referenced in it.   If you're concerned about the Community Guidelines that govern these forums, you'll find the link in the right sidebar of each main page in the forums:
f314ccbf2277ec60f20b9651382f05ba.png

or you can link directly at https://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/Linden_Lab_Official:Community_Participation_Guidelines .  Specific guidelines for subsections of the forums are at the top of each section.

Beyond that, if you are interested in the "rules" that govern places in world, those are always shown in the covenant for whatever land you are standing in.  Select World >> About Land >> Covenant while you are standing in the land you are interested in. Those are rules set by whoever owns the land.  They must not disagree with the TOS but they may be more restrictive.

If you meant something entirely different, please explain.

ETA:  I suppose I should add that it you are interested in answering questions in general, your best place to start is the Knowledge Base, which you will find in a tab at the top of any page here in the forums.  Articles there will usually give you the basics.  If you then have specific questions, it's best to ask them in a section of the Answers forum (also in a tab at the top of any forum page) rather than here in General Discussion.  Answers is designed precisely for addressing your questions about how SL works (or why it doesn't), but General Discussion is for ... well, discussions, so you'll get a lot of opinions and rhetoric mixed in with direct answers. ;)

MC = Motorcycle Club.

Answer to question

1)    No, there are no official rule books. The rules are made up by whoever is doing the RP.

2)    Businesses? Probably running a club that makes no money. Businesses are whatever they make up to facilitate the RP.

Aha!  I wasn't thinking about motorcycle clubs.  Duh.  OK, ignore all the stuff I gave you.  Missy's right.  AFAIK, each club makes up its own rules and may or may not have written them down.

I dunno how clubs get away with calling themselves Hells Angels in here though. Hells Angels are very protective of their brand.

Most MC clubs are just wannabe posers though, but of course the same can be said for most everyone and everything in SL i suppose

I wonder how many Hells Angels members are in SL?  The clubs here may just be sliding under their radar.  My guess is that they don't have as big a legal/marketing division as, say, the Mouse does.  Of course, they may have a more vigorous enforcement division, so who knows?

If you are thinking of motorcycle clubs, no, there isn't a general "rulebook" other than the TOS... Some clubs have their own codes of conduct (most just add up to don't be jerk and use common sense, sometimes they may be a bit weird) and some have recruiters, but I've never come across any that were anything other than cicvilized. And I've been approached by many. Yeah, there are some HA wannabe posers, but 90 % are just people who have built a good community. I'm a support member of quite a few.

Don't hesitate to ask if you have any specific questions.

LOL, if you are a non Hells Angels wearing a Hells Angels tattoo, they will cut the tattoo off of your body with a sharp knife.

while it will turn heads in SL to people that are not aware of the politics with MC'S, this one is fact.

However, this is SL and there is no skin to remove.  They, like any other "brand", would have to go the legal route to have their tattoo removed from the platform.  That's what @Rolig Loonwas talking about.  LL is certainly not going to give out RL names so a MC can exact revenge in RL.

HI all! Any person or entity (corporations, Motorcycle Clubs, etc) who want to file a DMCA (Digital Millennium Copyright Act) must do so in writing and provide a legal person(s) name, legal address, and other legally identifying information to Linden Labs. I don't see any of the rl MC's willing to submit that type of information to Linden Labs. That's true for any alleged criminal MC's and organizations.

Wouldn't it ruin a RL Hells Angel's reputation if people knew he logged into Second Life? 😃

Or...do you mean the Hells Angels are scared of Linden Lab? :o

more than likely not aware of it being used.   since it's not within their normal demograph.

Not my point. I am suggesting that no known and labeled criminal organization would be willing to give real names, real addresses. They could, of course, hire a law firm to do it for them if they want. The likelihood of that happening is slim, at best. Any other valid company (e.g. Harley Motorcycles, Honda, etc) can file a DMCA with LL quite easily. This is why you don't see well known "logos and brands" in SL.

I am certain several to many SL'ers have sent messages to the MC's and other companies to complain.

A far better approach is to B.B.R. (Ban, Block, and Report) griefers and trolls to LL using the Abuse Report. This will get them banned from SL or shutdown rather quickly. It's easier for us to just not see them or interact with them to enjoy our SL.

I'd love to pick your brain about mc's if you wouldn't mind.

Sure, dm me anytime. Riding in SL has many of the same health benefits as in RL. I love riding in both worlds! :)

If you use Microsoft Edge - you can get the app " COPILOT" and do your own AI imagery. It's a lot of fun! Just use the free version, don't pay for it!
