AleeraBelle Posted July 14 Posted July 14 I am thinking about buying a custom skin. It will be a gift and it will be for a male. It is based on a character from a TV series and I am looking for high detail/realistic. I also wish to know prices for such a job so if you are a creator of custom skins please contact me with some of your work. I will give more details should we do business. Will pay in Lindens. 1
Stephanie Misfit Posted July 15 Posted July 15 IMPLODE does this sort of custom work. They specialise in realistic celebrity skins. It isn't going to be cheap to get this done by a quality artist. 12 hours ago, AleeraBelle said: I am thinking about buying a custom skin. It will be a gift and it will be for a male. And to your point, they are not cheap, I think I saw a quote for something like 60,000L for a custom face, which is what? Nearly US$250? Might be worth it to some though. To the OP, there are ways of getting awfully close to a real life actor's face without spending that much. The use of a 1024x1024 image on a prim, zoomed in on his face, the right general head shape, and some tweaking might get you close enough. My own avatar is close to someone's RL face, except for missing a small cleft on the tip of my nose and her nose being a bit squarer in RL. Hair might be the issue since there is no where near the variety of styles for men I find. Edited July 15 by Katherine Heartsong 1
