Up until a few days ago, I was able to delete objects that I had rezzed on my land.  Today, I can't.  I placed one object (a linkset with about 8 prims) some days ago, and two other linksets today.  Can't delete any of them.  I can move them around and do other things to them in edit mode.

I have another parcel on the Blue Steel release and delete works fine.

It's lag, right?  If not, do I submit a jira? A support ticket?  Or does RC Magnum have a different way to delete objects?

I'm using the most recent generally available viewer Second Life 2.7.2 (233432) Jun 21 2011 17:17:16 (Second Life Release)

Thanks for help that you can provide.

This happens to me every so often.  A primset won't delete no matter what I do. Not sure which server I'm on (I'm not in world right now), but there was a nice trick that was posted here in the forums that worked for me, so maybe it will help you (I'm assuming these are copyable items that you already have in your inventory):

Just click the item and select "wear"

It will attach to your hand (default), appear in your inventory, and disappear from your land. Then you can detach and delete from inventory.

That's been working for me. Had to do it today several times in the morning and those stubborn prims that wouldn't delete are all gone now.

Its probably related to that particular sim.  I've got a shop in Cavedweller and its on Second Life RC Magnum 11.06.28.234198.  I can rez and delete objects there just fine.  And I'm running the same viewer you are.  I'd normally recommend requesting a sim reboot from Live Chat, but given this is Saturday of a 3 day holiday weekend, I would probably suggest a cold beer on the patio instead!  :smileyvery-happy:

Arwen, it worked for me too.  Thanks!

Cinnamon, thanks for letting me know that you don't have the same problem with the Magnum channel.  If still needed I'll open a ticket.  Either way, I'll take your good advice and enjoy a beer on the patio.

Same problem with Second Life RC LeTigre 11.06.28.234198

But isaw these problem of objects stuck on ground with more or less all servers.

Servers way to slow, it's busy, you take the object, and it's stuck.

Only way to taking it, is to restart the sim.

It's really not serious.

6 month to send tickets and tickets and the problem isn't fixed anymore.

This is almost certainly SVC-6905 / "immortal prims" (can't take/delete/return/die/temp-delete them).  The underlying bug is fixed, but the fix has not yet been deployed to the full grid (hence the Jira status being "Fix Pending").  The fix is currently under test on BlueSteel, and should hopefully go grid wide sometime in the next week or 2.  Please do not add more to the Jira unless you find a case where it's still happening on a BlueSteel region.  The problem is caused by communications between the asset server and sim getting lost, so if there's significant issues with either you're more likely to encounter it.

In the meantime, a region restart will reset the status of the objects, allowing you to attempt to return them again (but if the region or asset servers are still having issues, they can become stuck again).  Wearing them does appear to mostly work, but I have seen cases where that has left an in-world copy of the object at 0,0,0, using prims on the SW corner parcel, so a restart is strongly recommended as the safest way to get rid of them.
