You could try clearing the group cache from the Advanced Menu (CTRL+ALT+D), then log off and login in again. If that fails I've no idea other than suggesting a support ticket.

Along with Nyll's great answer, you might also try logging into a non-busy sim like Smith, Pooley or Aqua.  I've found that when I have problems with my groups its usually when the sim I'm in is extra busy and showing signs of server side lag.

Groups have problems in the new viewer, many of them actually. These are design problem mostly and in some case bugs in the groups interface. Have you attempted to change roles for people?
