Try disabling your media and see if that helps, also if you have a lot of other stuff going on on your computer at the same time, try shutting those down and see if that helps. Basically, teleportation takes resources, disable any other user of system resources and see if you can teleport anywhere.

Sometimes also it might be your firewall.

Sometimes logging out, resetting your modem by unplugging it and plugging it back in and then restarting your computer helps.

Picking up on Charolotte's comment..... If your firewall is blocking outbound TCP port 12043, then teleporting, viewing the World Map, crossing regions, and related activities won't work.  For more details, see >>>> http://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/Unusually_restrictive_firewalls_block_teleporting.

For other possible cures for your problem, see >>>> http://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/Troubleshooting_teleporting

Remove all HUDs and scripts from your AV and try again. To find out what scripts your running go to land (not objects like side walks and roads) right click the land then in the first tab (bottom left) click scripts then choose the AV tab. This will show you what scripts your running.
