I am wanting to sell lindens and have never done it before. What is the turn around time for the market sell vs Limit Sell to where the actual monetary value hits my account ?

The market sells (and buy) is nearly instant, but als could be a minute .. the limit sell (and buy) depend on the rate you enter to sell for.
As long you keep your range around the current rates ( you can see those on the page ) it can be up to a few days but mostly faster.
But if you go of the range it could be it fills not even in a year or ever.

note; the estimates the system gives are near to useless. Every transaction that comes after you and has a better rate, fills first.

As a general rule when selling L$ with the Limit Sell option, select a rate that is at least L$ 1 /USD higher than where the largest volume of offers is at the moment. Today, that means offering at L$246/USD, since the largest number of outstanding orders is at L$245/USD:

As Alwin says, offering to sell at any lower rate is likely to take days or weeks longer, and for minimal gain.
