Recently, the "/me" chat command has stopped working for me. Only appearing as "/me" in chat.

I just observed it with the Linden 2.7.2 viewer install.

However it persisted when I reinstalled Linden 2.6.3 viewer.

Could you have accidently muted yourself?

I don't send many "me" commands so I'm fishing for an answer.

I'm guessing it worked properly with the older viewer?

Maybe some of the Jira Residents could look to see if others are reporting this issue.

Yup.  It's busted in the latest upgrade to the V2 viewer.  The fix will be in the next upgrade.  Until then, either do without it or use a different viewer like Firestorm.

I realize this was answered, but I'm curious... I'm using:  Second Life 2.7.2 (233432) Jun 21 2011 14:15:06 (Second Life Release), and /me works perfectly fine.  In fact, it has not stopped working in any of the releases so far.  Perhaps you have yourself muted.  This is an ongoing issue, with all sorts of bizarre fallout.
