The Lindens have started a error issue for me about this and trying to get it resolved. I was curious if anyone else or knows of anyone else having this issue with Windows XP/Vista/Windows7 for Viewer2 all the latest versions? Just so I know it might not be just me in this.

This DNS error showed up for Mac users a couple updates ago.  Don't know how wide spread it is with Windows.  I'm running Win7 and WinXP with the latest Viewer 2 (2.7.2) without this error showing up.  Only issue I saw was a complete disregard for my graphics settings as the update added shadows and decided it could choose my settings better than I could.  But I beat it into submission and all is good now. :matte-motes-tongue:

Edited to add:  You might want to try the suggested workaround for the Mac.  Just do a search on Mac DNS Viewer 2 and you should hit a few of the threads with answers.  I believe the answer was to add additional DNS servers to the network configuration but don't quote me on that one.

I have a similar problem with Windows XP. V2 and Firestorm do something to my network connection. I have to reboot my routers after using V2 to get my internet connection back. I solved the problem by going back to Phoenix. It has the added advantages of using less CPU cycles, includes the feature of "restore to last position" which V2 variants lack, and better search.
