Lights and Shadows, hardware skinning causing black screen

I have a high end Radeon card also. Linden Labs viewers have never really supported those cards well even though they are listed in the hardware specs (https://secondlife.com/my/support/system-requirements/).  I have no abiltity to turn on shadows with Veiwer 2 and since I still very much hate it, I decided that was OK. 

You may have better luck with Kirsten's viewer (http://www.kirstensviewer.com/) but while I can see shadows there, I lose what appears to be anti-alias. That isn't really what is happening (he explained it too me in technical terms at one time) but that is the effect. I do NOT however crash and burn. And lighting effects work fine.

 

After upgrading to a super fast new computer with great graphics card, I went back to Imprudence 1.4 *wink* as that works better for me. NO SHADOWS for me, but everything else works well.

What I highlighted might have something to do with your problem.  Since you volunteered to test the beta software, maybe you should advise the developers of this problem so they can look into it and fix it.
