Is there a waiting period to purchase $L for the 1st time w/a credit card?

1st time buying Lindens....Wanted to buy $20 USD worth of Lindens...I have an authorization for a $1 on my RL card....how long do I have to wait before I can receive $L? And I've placed my order (at least I think I have)...and don't want to get charged twice? My hope is that the 1st $20 USD order did not go through because the authorization has to take place...and then should I go back and place it or will the SL system remember my original $20 USD request? Any help is always appreciated!!!

Good question!

As you have see in your Bank acct, the 1L was chkn your method of payment. Now where is the $20 worth of lindens. I recall this took me about 20 minutes to receive my first lot. It might vary on fin.institutions?

One way to find out on SL is through your Dashboard. http://secondlife.com/ <- sign in and your there.

Under account, go to acct *statements* for a PDF view of acct activity with lindens/dollars in and out.

Also under acct  is located transactions, this shares both debits and credits.

 

Edit: Acct history is another source.

Perhaps also checking your billing info is in order.
