Emote trigger issue

Ever since the viewer updated itself yesterday, I no longer see emotes as they should be. Instead of seeing the avatars name, I see the trigger (/me) any ideas? please help! its driving me insane!

You're the second person today who has commented about that new "feature" in the recent V2 upgrade.  I suspect that you'll have to wait for LL to fix it with the next version, or stop using emotes (that would be my personal choice).  You could also switch to using a different viewer, at least for a while.

It's already been reported and fixed, it seems -- https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/VWR-25957  -- so it's just a matter of waiting for the fixed version to be released.

I agree. It's irritating. It's not so much when I do it that bothers me. When anyone else, including my newborn baby does it reads /me. But if you look at chat history it will say the person's name. I hope they go ahead and send out the fix and not wait on it.

 

Oh, I just clicked the link about the fix. This was "fixed" on June 4, It didn't start for me until last night after I downloaded the update.

Sounds like a bug in the viewer.

You might try updating your java software. I would also suggest you check for a newer version of Adobe Flash Player as well. Flash is for media play, java is for many things in SL.
