Just a guess, but maybe the template you're using form the alpha feet was made incorrectly, or maybe you're not using a template at all but applying a full-body alpha layer.  You use an alpha layer the same way you use any of the other layers -- create a template that masks portions of the body that are not meant to be visible and leaves the rest intact.

I'd suggest taking off any extra layers, as a start. I can't see any advantage to wearing more than one physics layer, for example. Physics layers should not affect visibility, but you never know. In your case, you may be seeing some of the many bugs in recent downloads of the LL V2 viewer. I'd suggest perhaps uninstalling it and re-installing an older version or, if you don' want to uninstall anything, using one of the third party viewers, like Firestorm instead.

This was happening to me and I was about to pull my hair out.  I did some searching from what I saw it was effecting people who were on mac os 10.5 (Leopard)...I upgraded to 10.6 snow leopard I have shoe happiness again.  Hopefully this solution will help.
