why do i lagg everwhere?

HELP!!!!!! I JUST STARTED LAGGING EVERY WHERE I GO AND I DON'T KNOW WHY!!!! CAN ANYBODY HELP ME?

Have you worn any new items or attached anything to your Avatar?

Check your Graphics settings in Preferences and try lowering the performance settings.

It could be the Region you are visiting try teleporting to an empty Region like Smith.

Try relogging.

The most common answers to your question are:

1. Your draw distance is set too high.  Lower it to 64m or so.

2. Your quality slider is set too high.  Unless you have a very high end computer, do not use Ultra.

3. You have antialiasing and anisotropic filtering enabled.  Turn them off.

4. You are wearing too many things -- specifically too many scripted items.  Keep you total script load below 2 MB.

5.  You are in a crowded, busy sim with a lot of other avatars and physical objects.

6. You have insufficient bandwidth and/or packet loss.  Avoid wireless, check your statistics bar.
