display settings set to recommended levels based on your system configuration????

Hi, can someone help -  everytime i log into SL the above comes up - having to go into Preferences to adjust settings constantly which is getting on my nerves ie Shaders, Draw Distance etc.,  - has only happened since the last SL download/ update.  Not the best when it comes to the technicalities of computers so any basic help would be appreciated.  Thanks

The settings are 'default settings' based upon how SL sees your computer. You can modify the settings, of course. Just make your changes and click 'Apply' and 'OK' at the bottom of the box. That should save them.

Hi Venus I did that - pressed the apply and ok buttons, but when i log in each time - message still comesup so something not working - thanks though

Hi Maz, the only other thing I can think of is that perhaps you are trying to apply settings that are over the capabilities of your hardware.
