However, i am looking for information on Biobreeds. I have bought two dogs, but i am unable to birth them. I get server unavailable try again later any thoughts Thanks Lexi The biobreeds.com website is down; there are no longer any items in their marketplace store; their FB page hasn't had a post for over a year; their twitter was last updated over 2 yrs ago; and their store no longer exists inworld -- all of which points to them no longer being a viable merchant. I do believe you are out of luck. I have some that I don't breed and they don't even rez properly anymore -- they lay on their sides and have no textures, just a grey blob now. I was surprised nobody was talking about it on the forums, but here we are now. The number of breedables markets listing them has been dropping in search, but not all places have figured out what's going on yet. It's possible the seller on the marketplace didn't know either (you can't list their name here either way under the forum rules, so I'd suggest editing that out). Since none of those breedables can communicate with the server anymore, they are not a viable product to sell. It is highly unlikely that the re-sellers do not know about it, because none of their own inworld rezzed items will be functioning anymore either. @Alexa Linden - Not sure who might be able to look into this, but any and all BioBreeds listed on the MP should be removed. If the business is closed and the servers shut down, none of the animals are worth anything. Everything on the MP is stuff being sold by the various breeders, not the original BioBreeds company, but none of the merchandise is actually viable any more. Active breeders will obviously know, but a lot of people drift around different games and take breaks. When it came up in groups, there were always people surprised, because they only had boxes and no active pets. The fact that word went out via notecards handed from person to person meant the news didn't exactly get to everyone. I consider my permapets to be therapy animals and have been holding my breath every day. I dont dare take them into inventory because thats when problems arise. I wish the company had been taken over because personally I have not found a better quality tiger with such low LI as 14 ! They run around and interact with such amazing AI . So they become generic grey placeholders and unresponsive. The ones that are already out appear to be carrying on for now, but I suggest that you don't try to pick them up. Yeah, that seems to be my problem. The one that I keep out all the time, not breeding, seems fine. If they are one of a kind, limited quantity, then the listing goes away when the item is bought - so no way to Review it. And if you didn't buy something, you cannot Review it. And there is no way to put a Review on a seller or store. Old news history why it happened, but the result was those pets already rezzed remain fine, but if you unrez/rerez they are all grey - because the texture comes from the server. No more births, because that requires the server. Just don't unrez them we were told. I kept mine more than a year after that - my Jagger! - then unrezzed him. They should not have been on MP all this time at all, because any unrezzed pets will never, ever work. I would love to hear something has changed since about it, but I suspect not. At that time it was recommended that a batch process should be run to take all Biobreeds animals down. To OP, sorry about your purchase Couldn't one not simply pull the texture from cache and reapply it if it is no longer coming from an external server? Kyrie Deka Posted April 16 Share Posted April 16 (edited) If I recall I was actually impressed that the server-end partner had so much absolute control over ownership (usually a good thing) of these pets, that in an instant all that work could be extinguished at-will so completely. It seemed like and the remaining partner suggested that pet is rezzed - it instantly pings the server and not finding it the animal remains grey. Animals were no copy no mod too of course, so messing with them was not possible after rezzing. Even if raiding cache for #-textures was possible, animals were no cc no mod. Broke my heart too, because I just love love loved my Jack Russels. Myst Serenity Posted July 22 Share Posted July 22 My permapet tigers both "died" because i removed the empty food bowl BUT They Healed after I rezzed the empty bowl back! It took a month of them laying there unmoving but the numbers went back up and they are back running around!
