Discolored house? Never seen before! Any opinions?

Hello, I am not sure if this is the right board to post but I hope some people skilled in texturing may know the solution to this riddle.
Today I logged in  my parcel and noticed that my house lost the colours I gave it some days ago.
I had it multi-colored, painting different faces of the mesh house with different colors. I made no changes in textures, only colored it.
First I was thinking of a sim rollback in time, but all the other stuff (a lot) i put after the coloring is still there and I noticed no other change or missing objects.
I also checked parcel borders to be sure the house is inside my parcel and it's ok. Nobody can edit stuff inside my land because I uncheched all the "everyone" permissions and all of them are for owner only, as the place is still under construction...

I checked door permissions on the house and they're still there, they didn't change. There are no other scripts in it.

I also tried clearing cache and relogging many times but nothing changed.

This house is in a platform in the sky at 2122 meters.
I don't know what other tests i could make to understand what happened and I am really puzzled.
Now I will color my house again, but it takes some time and I'd like to understand why it "discolored", so it won't happen again.

My only info is that things like this (one item changing  only) has been happening in SL since the beginning. Creators see it a lot.  Even taking copies of things so you have one in your inventory (a good idea) doesn't help.   I have had single items change INSIDE vendors including my Marketplace folders (or in the past Marketplace box). I have had items completely disappear from the grid (like with a DMCA) and completely gone, others where there are only OLD copies of something left on the grid.   I honestly don't see how any of this is possible, but it happens.  Take a copy this time for inventory.  That does help SOMETIMES.   

My only thought on YOUR situation is that the house somehow got "updated" in the database.   That should not have changed your rezzed copy on the ground, but again things like this are not all that unusual.    Sorry, many of us know how frustrating it can be :D.

Could being "in the sky" be a factor?

- Such as, due to the general issue where "things work different at high elevations"..

Could EEP / environment settings be a factor?  Different settings show colors differently, not sure if Mesh is impacted etc., or if colors show diffrerently at different elevations.

Could whether the Region is Main vs. RC Channel be a factor?

Ahhh, Maybe I misunderstood your post. I thought the tinting DISAPPEARED, not just changed.   EEP or Windlight if you have  a viewer still using that will indded change the look of things  -- enormously. However if you are using the SAME EEP and the same viewer things shouldn't change.  There can be problems with scripts at very high altitudes -- this I hear anyway, but I have never had any issues below 4K meters which is said to be the dividing line. 

 

I went back and reread your post and you said this was on ONE ITEM ONLY so I can't see that it would be light settings unless perhaps there is light built into the item (like some backdrops I have).  

 

 

I know very little about the different channels but suspect unless there was a change with how EEP would work it would not be a factor.

No, you are right, the tinting didn't change, it disappeared, as you said. 

Sorry for my bad english, I just didn't know how to explain this concept well enough!

No, also the inside.

And I have another building from the same set and same creator, but this one didn't change in any way.

Thanks a lot for your suggestions and info. I am still investigating, even if it's probably a bug you can't repeat in any way.

Thinking about channels, I rememberd that I rezzed some texture changing forniture, inside that house, yesterday, which works with a hud.
I did some testing a few minutes ago, to see if the house was subjected to changes due to the hud, but it didn't work.
What i did was recoloring the house and then changing textures to furniture, just to see if this may affect the house, but nothing happened.

Sure, here it is.

You can see the house as it was one week ago, just bought and rezzed (1 Untinted House).

Then you can see how it was after my simple face tinting (2 Tinted House).

And then again you can see what happened after like 1 week, the house lost it's color (3 Decolored House) or went back to the original state.
