My main reason for starting this topic is for me to see people's curvy Maitreya shapes. But any one with any body shape can post their Maitreya body shape and show it here. I currently have this shape ( first image on the left below). And would like to be somewhat curvier without changing bodies. Can I please see your curvy shapes ? I did try to make curvier shapes but wasn't fully happy with them. On the right you can see a curvier body shape I did but wasn't fully happy with it. Front/back view is usually fine on maitreya, it's the side view when the fact it doesn't do curvy well starts to show up way more. Am I right in saying that by using a defomer on Maitreya one can get a more curvy shape for a short avatar and still have all the clothes fit? When you use deformers you always run the risk of clothes not fitting properly. It depends on how extreme the deformers are and how the clothing item was rigged. Something as little as your butt tooted out a little bit, giving yourself a little belly or giving your breasts a little sag can do it. It could also be fixed alphaing your thighs or underboob. Sometimes even that won’t fix it. You could shrink your butt and create a large gap in the waistline of certain jeans. When you’re using deformers you have to go in knowing some items just don’t work like they should. It’s neither the body maker or the clothing makers fault. Yes, I've made several curvy shapes because my original plan was to be curvy but I just don't like the look of them. I have seen a ton of reborn shapes walking around that I absolutely love the look of but when I tried the demo for the body I kept being very bottom heavy. Ya, I can't remember if it was you or someone else that mentioned this to me in another thread where I was talking about the crunch where the legs and butt meet.. It had to do with where the legs and butt are rigged to different bones.. where bodies meant to go more curvy are rigged to the same bones.. With Maitreya, After a certain point, it's easier to notice them doing their own thing..Trying to go too curvy and upping the leg muscles, you end up with a kind of crunch where the butt is doing one thing and the legs are pushing out doing another to where the butt will overlap the legs.. Bodies more intended to go curvy are rigged differently.. So where the butt and legs meet, they move together rather than independent of each other. So going too much with Maitreya and you start to see something like this.. This is really turned up, but that is the spot you will really start to see them start to do their own things.. you can see how the butt is getting pushed by the legs to where it looks like the butt is wrapping over the leg.. A body where they are both working together and rigged to the same bones will look more like this. Don't mind the messed up looking hands.. this was actually a picture I was using to figure out what animation was causing the messed up hands on this certain body.. So with that kind of crunching going on you have to lessen some things and raise things up to where the body is back in it's range to get more curvy with Maitreya.. The others clip along the bottoms of my breasts. Ginger Cloud Posted February 17, 2023 Share Posted February 17, 2023 Beyond a certain width, the Maitreya hips and thighs do tend to get that diamond shape in your posted example. Lots of gorgeous shapes in the thread that totally avoid that but you can see they are all within a certain range of curviness and if you want to go beyond that.. I'm a huge fan of Reborn myself! On the subject of deformers, a great many of Ebody Reborn wearers use them, and several are included in the package. If you see a Reborn shape out there on the grid you could always scan them with a What Is She Wearing HUD, or use Firestorm area search to see if they are using anything.
