Can you provide a few more details? What size and rating, for example, and what's your rough budget? Access to Blake Sea can be expensive, as you know. Is renting an option?

Hey Katherine, thanks for your reply! Looking for Moderate and min size 1024 upwards. Pricing can be expensive yep, but im sure people are probably looking to sell some land at some point so wanted to put feelers out to see what people had, but pricing can be discussed, in terms of access to protected waterways for such a way that you don't have to navigate through potentially changing lands and thus getting blocked in. If you have anything or anyone who may have some land, please do let me know.

Buying a parcel with direct acces to Blake is very expensive.
There are some good rental options to find at Holly Kai

Hey Ian, thanks for your reply! Ideally not looking for a rental, been there, done that and too many places up and vanish so would rather not invest my money into a rental would rather pay for something I know isn't going to up and poof.

Thanks both

Hi Reuben, when you want to buy mainland with direct access to Blake you need to check the map regulary and be prepared for astronomically high prices.
Never pay the price they ask. Start with 50% of it.

That was exactly my thought when I checked the map they were "advertising prices" from what I could see. Sadly, I dont know how to get in contact with some of the owners of the lands as they're owned by groups which are private so I cannot see the members.

When that is the case you should not buy it. They don't want to sell unless someone is so crazy to pay a small fortune for the land. It sometimes happens.

Looking for parcel with access to Blakesea. Not looking for something that doesn't have access to protected waterways.

We assume you really mean "access" rather than owning a parcel that is adjacent to a region that begins with "Blake Sea". Perhaps you want to be north of the continent of Satori but south of say "Ascalapha" and have direct access to protected water that connects to the Blake Sea regions. Question is, how far away are you willing to be?

The least expensive option that meets the requirement of "direct access to protected water that connects" is a Linden Home that has water rezzing, such as houseboat or many of the stilts. The best location would be the new ones near the Newbrookes, close to the Stromberg region. The cost is less than $1US per week, based on an annual premium plan net stipend.

From any Linden Home that has water rezzing, you can sail to the Blake Sea via protected water.

If you require mainland, I suggest what Ian said.... keep looking at the world map. Renting is the least expensive option. Buying will require hundreds of dollars up front, if you are lucky.

The owners of groups should be visible. Check their profiles for groups they advertise or manage. Also check their partner's profile, since that might be an alt they use for business purposes.

If you buy a small parcel next to abandoned land, you can likely buy some of the abandoned land for much less by putting in a support ticket for it.

Here's a 1024 lot for sale with unobstructed access to the Blake Sea.
http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Strathcona/256/76/21 , for sale for just under $L 60, 000 (about $ 240 US) for unreal estate.

Whatever you want to buy, check, check and double check if you can reach Blake. Sometimes it looks like it on the map.
Untill you go sailing or flying and discover that you need to cross simcorners, banlines and more misery...

Yeah, im in no major rush as for now I do have a LL home which is accessible I just wanted to see things closer with protected waterway access. For example, the plot there mentioned actually doesnt have access to protected waterways because you'd have to try and navigate through peoples land and thats what I want to avoid.

Technically it has access to blake sea, but its only viable for avid sailors and boaters, i would say.

Once i started in the north of bellisseria, where the small airport is located right at the embankment of the big river, following it to go further north, in a quite fast paramotor, going at 50mph.
Scratching the Satori coastline was quite smooth, as i was able to cut some corners and not sticking to the waterways at all times, but after all i had to cross around 150 regions and it took me around half an hour to arrive at blake sea.

If someone lives further down south in Belli its easily 200+ regions to cross. Could be a little too much for someone wanting to have a quick trip to Sirens and hanging out with friends.

If we're talking cheaper rentals, the ones at the west end of the Blake Sea (I forget now who rents them) are tropical, as opposed to Norway's theme, but much cheaper. I found Norway's rents excessive compared to others right on Blake, YMMV.

To the OP, @Reuben Blakewell I admire your hunt but the parcels that are directly on Blake (as opposed to going through a waterway, my own access is through a well-run and stable marina) are silly expensive to buy, so if you do want that, save. :)

I pay L$ 766 a week for a waterparcel at Second Norway and the first sim with Blake in the name is 1 minute of sailing away :)
