If you didn't actively try to become age verified, you are not. To become age verified you need to go through the age verification process. This involves logging into your account on the Second Life website, going to Account>Age Verification and submitting personal info there to be checked against public records. Premium members can go through manual age verification if the automated procedure fails. I would imagine that if you manage to get age verified, you'll receive some sort of confirmation message. (I'm not age verified myself, so I can't state for certain.)

Do a search for a mature SIM and TP there. If you get in your age verified.
