Is it possible for particles to be used for some items instead of flexies?

Question

I was watching one of the older videos for Blender 3d and it did a touch basis on using particals to make fur in blender. I was wondering if it was possible for in SL to use particals to make things like tails and if sculpts created in blender with particals will still have the particals?

Particles in SL are created by scripts, so you'd need to write a script to produce any of the effects you are interested in.  Blender is fine for creating sculpty objects and (some day) mesh for SL, but you'll still need to create the particles in world.  Having said that, yes, you can simulate some limited flexi-like behavior with particles by targeting the particle stream, if you know what you're doing.  Take a trip to the Particle Laboratory in world and wander through Jopsy Pendragon's tutorials to get a feel for what's possible.
