Ordererd two of the same outfit by mistake...how do I return one and get credited?

The titile says it all. I don't know how two of the outfit got in my cart, but before I could remove one the purchase had gone through. What do I do?

If it is no transfer and cant return it to the seller, you cant do anything.

Edit: Some sellers will refund you for a double purchase. Contact the store owner.

The Policy is No Refunds unless the product is defective or undelivered.

Aside from that, the Merchant you purchased from Values your Business. I would believe that sending a Notecard to the Seller briefly explaining the situation and politely asking the Seller for a refund may produce results.

Paste the transaction information on a notecard showing both purchases.  Send it to the creator along with a nice im explaining.  Most merchants will refund for duplicate purchases

OK, thanks...how do I do a notecard? I found IM, etc. but not notecard yet. Sorry, I'm such a n00b.

Sending an IM works just as well as a notecard (unless the persons IM's are capped)

In your Inventory folder is where you can Create a New Note card, I just right click anywhere in the inventory window and choose Create new note from the window that opens. A new notecard will be created in the Notecard folder, double click on that to open it, type your message, click Save at the bottom, close the window. 

Click on the object you purchased or use Search to find the Seller, open an IM window with them and drag the notecard from inventory and drop it in the chat window. You should see system text saying you offered the item. That is how I do it but there are many  ways.

A note: some Sellers have information in their Profiles about their preferred method of contact for Customer inquiries. Some sellers prefer Notecards and others prefer Instant Messages.

I think what Knowl said, and you are, of course, entirely dependent on the good will of the seller.  You should copy and paste the details of both transactions from your account history, too; then there's no question that you purchased the same thing twice.  You can find this on dashboard, but there's also one on your Marketplace.  Very useful, too, for things that you purchase but which, for some unknown reason, don't arrive.  Happens to us all at some time.  :matte-motes-bored:
