Visible Overhead Signs?

I've seen some sims that have signs which are visible when you look at them in the Map. How is that done? Thanks

The map captures everything below 400 meters sea level.
If you build a house in the middle of a water parcel/region and nothing else, youll see just that on the map.
If you add some huge colored prims at 400 meters in the sky  or lower, they also will appear on the map tile, covering your house
Anything above 400 meters wont show on the map.

It also only works with prim/mesh builds. If you wanna have a smiley, it has to be made with a huge round yellow prim, 2 white ones for the eyes and a black arch for the mouth - you get the idea.
Putting a texture on a huge prim instead wont work, sadly.
