Experimenting and just trying to see how things work, I bought a script from the marketplace that does a teleport on collision experience.

I configured the land, and found that the script works fine.

Frustrated that nothing I was doing was working, I copy/pasted the same script and attempted to use it in my own experience to troubleshoot.

With all things being equal, it doesn't work unless I use it with the original experience.

Why is that?

Are you also setting the script itself to use the new experience?

At the very bottom of the script editor, there's a checkbox "Use Experience" and drop-down list containing all the experiences you own or are allowed to collaborate for. Make sure you set that as well if you're trying to use a different exp.

Yup.. In fact, that is all you have to do to break it. Assign the script to a different experience allowed on the parcel.

Makes me wonder if experiences don't work because I am the owner of the experience I'm attempting to use. That is literally the only difference.

thanks for asking.

yea.. I have since figured it out and the problems I was having was script specific. I discovered that by using another script that does the same thing and had no issues at all.

Pretty clever making a script that will only work with your experience.
