Updating Mainland infrastructure with modern meshes?

Mainland would be looking so much better already if alone the trees would be updated with good looking meshes.

Is there a reason for this not happening? Is that planned for the future? It's kind of hard to understand since it feels as if it would be a pretty straight forward project, at least as far as trees are concerned.

What I'd love to see is that any abandoned/empty land is immediately filled with a random assortment of regionally suitable trees, vegetation, and a few rocks, or plants of interest to make it look decent. As if no one had inhabited it at all. Downside is that property lines are harder to see that way.

My guess is the Linden Labs is not having many Lindens and Moles. So they use all their time on building new Premium houses and deal with AR reports.

It would be great what @Katherine Heartsongsays, I am afraid it is only a sweet dream. It does not have to be so dense planting that we could not see property lines. 

But people would need to return the plants and trees, to place their homes. It could not be permanent trees. People would be mad because the house they bought fit on the parcel, but it is a tree in it that they can't remove.

So it would be an endless job to replace the landscaping, when the land owners leave again.
