Question

THIS PROBEM DID NOT RESOLVE ITSELF EVEN AFTER BEING IN-WORLD FOR 2 HOURS IN, FOR ME, LOW LAG ENVIRONMENT. I CAN SEE MY OWN AVATAR BUT NO OTHER AVATAR. THIS HAS ONLY BEEN AN ISSUE WITH LL VIEWER SINCE I D/L THE UPDATE LAST NIGHT.  PREVIOUSLY I HAD THIS ISSUE WITH FIRESTORM, AND WAS TOLD TO USE LL VIEWER, WHICH I DID, WITH FEW PROBLEMS UNTIL THE DOWNLOAD LAST NIGHT 4TH NOVEMBER 2022.

Bake fail is common for the first few seconds after you log in to SL because it takes a while for your avatar parameter information to download from the SL servers and load in your viewer.  Normally, the fog clears pretty quickly.  If it doesn't, it's either because you have logged into a busy region where the servers are handling a lot of other chores at once or it's a sign that you have a slow connection.  I don't mean "slow" in the sense that your connection speed is low, but rather that you have a long ping time to the SL servers or a high packet loss.  So, there are a couple of things to try. One is to log in to a nice quiet region, so you will the the center of attention.  A nice, watery region in the middle of the Blake Sea, for example.  Another is to reboot your modem and router and restart everything, to clear the cobwebs out of the system. Try to avoid a wifi connection too, if that's possible.

Other than those ideas, I recommend paying attention to the standard things that are always recommended triage for bake fail >>> https://wiki.firestormviewer.org/fs_bake_fail
