Themed events in SL that are filled with popular stores that don't bother creating in theme. It just ends up that a lot of events are the same stores, selling the same stuff. Kudos to those stores who do take a risk in creating themed items for these events, I hope it pays off for you, and also to the themed events who take the opportunity to highlight lesser-known or newer stores specialising in that particular theme. Organisers should be doing their research and reaching out to these stores and inviting them, to create the best events for fans of the event's genre.

Ah yes...

"Welcome to Smut-XXX Event, for Adult Weirdness only!"

first 5 stalls you see are selling a pastel print fabric bikini, a pair of ugly boring shoes with low heels, a pair of earrings, a potted plant, and a box of donuts.

15 mins later you've finished the whole event, and not found a single item that wouldn't be classed as PG friendly, except for a neon wall sign shaped like a naked ass.

EDIT: And don't even get me started on "Hentai" themed events on M rated regions, without so much as a hint of "College Co-Ed Bimbos of the Imperial Japanese Space Navy service issue Anti-Tentacle  Armoured Space Thongs" (tm).

I spent a good chunk of my evening in SL shopping at one fairly well-known women's clothing store that is in the midst of 50% off sale. I spent FAR too much. But that's not my peeve.

All the time I was there -- at least 45 mins or so -- there was this woman In a nice, if fairly conservative, knee-length dress and pumps literally RUNNING from one end of the store to the other, back and forth. She'd stop in front of a vendor for 30 seconds, and then charge off at full speed to the other end of the store, where the process was repeated.

All the while I was myself (in my slow, methodical, plodding sort of way), making my way through the fairly largish store, I'd see the figure of this utterly frantic woman running back and forth at full speed behind me. WHOOSH! She'd flash across my screen, running to the left. WOOOSH! There she was again, a half minute later, flying across the store behind me to the right.

It was like something from a cartoon, honestly. It was HILARIOUS; at one point I literally giggled aloud.

So THAT'S not my peeve.

My peeve is that I tried to capture her on Gyazo doing it, and she was too fast for me!

I may or may not have spotted you in the lingerie section when I was trying to find my partner.

Peeve: getting lost in stores, without the supervision of a responsible adult!

It's like all that unrelated stuff that shows up on a marketplace search that eats up 3 pages before you see the first thing you were actually looking for..

I can't put those stores on my NOT (store name) notecard, fast enough..

I figure the ones running the events, just don't give a damn anymore.

I promise that was not me. Now had she been twerking from one end of the store to the other...

Also, what is this sale you speak of?! I grabbed some hair at 50% off for the photo shoots I'm *STILL* shopping for (peeve), but I haven't run into many clothing sales (yet - peeve).

It's nice that you left it for someone else to tell them about "cam shopping" so they could keep entertaining everyone!

I think Erratic is still having their 50% off sale.

Peeved some of my posts that had nothing to do with the bs got deleted.

I simply never look back.
So I can't say if some, many or maybe even almost all of my older posts are deleted.
I could not care less to be honest.

I actually am happy that some of the ones I made were deleted, and reflecting back on what I have written and thinking why they were deleted find that it is probably for the best as I did not consider how it may be perceived by others.  Thankfully, it doesn't seem to happen often.  My last one that was deleted, while I thought at the time was hilarious, probably was not perceived as such by others and may have been seen with ill intent behind it, which made me feel pretty awful to think about.  I'm glad it is gone.

You must have notices turned off. I do like to know when someone has directly replied to one of my posts. Rather disconcerting to go to make a reply only to find the post has been deleted or the thread has been closed.

Yep, @Ayashe Ninetails , that's the one! (I didn't want to *cough* advertise here.)

I spent an embarrassingly large amount.

I don't think I've ever been in that store. 👀

Edit: Oh, that reminds me of a minor peeve. You ever forget to buy something really nice in a weekend sale and you remember you wanted it like 2 weeks later? Yeah...

I do have notices on, and I had a few times that I checked and the reaction or my post was gone, but I can live with that.
I don't care that it happens.
Sometimes I'm peeved when a thread is closed because it is heading in the wrong direction for LL (thankfully that doesn't happen that often), but in the end that is how these forums are moderated.  There is only limited freedom of speech here. We all know that.
It is a take it or leave it deal for all of us.

We risk losing posts or even get a few days vacation on the forums.
LL risks that people pack their bags and use their entertainment budget elsewhere.
So in the end these forums are a delicate and risky game for both sides IMHO.

I cringe every time an old thread pops up, just because I have no idea what I said in them back then.. hehehe

They can delete a lot of mine, unless they are relevant to like the Avatar section or helpful in some way with information that is still current.. The rest they can flush them all.. hehehe

They have some really nice things there.. I love their trousers and the more recent things they've been coming out with..

They can just take my money now.. hehehe it's like they hit the next level recently :)

This is  kind of a mix from two different outfits that I got from them, minus the bowler and the machine gun.. hehehe

I guess i could have just said top and trousers.. hehehe

I don't get why you are lecturing me as if I am completely unaware of "how things work". Please stop doing this. I'm not uneducated. People need to stop assuming.
