Second Life Server and Events

The SLS + Events channels will be restarted on Tuesday, 2022-10-11 from 06:30 - 11:30 PDT. There will be no version change from the current version 2022-09-09.574921.

Second Life RC

The current maintenance release is headed to the RC channels (again)! We'll be deploying version 2022-10-07.575585 to the Release Candidate channels on Wednesday, 2022-10-12, from 07:00 - 09:30 PDT.

Coming Soon*…

We have a new feature build on Aditi for a feature tentatively called Local KVP. This feature works similarly to Experience Key-Value store, but the data lives with the object that sends and receives the data. Only scripts in the same linkset will be able to read the data written with this feature. For more details, see the in-progress wiki pages [COMING SOON]. You can try out the new LSL functions related to this feature at the following Aditi Mainland regions:

• Blake Sea - Black

• Jigglypuff
• Mauve

We're looking for feedback on this new feature including bugs and input on anything that might be missing or not work the way you'd expect. Please file a BUG Jira in all of those cases

• As always, Coming Soon represents our best guess at what will be moved from Aditi to RC in the coming weeks. We may need to delay, reshuffle, or remove upcoming releases for operational reasons.

Additional Notes:

If this week looks a lot like the last two weeks, that's because we're doing the exact same thing again, but with the crash fix that caused more problems that it solved (still) removed plus a fix for an issue with our logging subsystem that could have caused issues at grid-scale. Release notes will be available Soon™.
