Donating land to a group

I am wondering, I spend most of my time on land owned by a group.  I have a premium account, I don't own land, just have my Linden Home.  If I donate my land that I am able to buy to the group, does that cut down any expenses they may have?

If you have a Linden Home, you might not have any spare Tier --- it is Tier that gets donated to the land group, not actual land.

As a Premium member, you get 1024 sqm of Tier -- or 2048 if you are Premium Plus.  Your Linden Home is using either 512 or 1024 of that amount.  Whatever is leftover, you could donate to the land group, without you incurring any additional expenses.  If you donate more than whatever you get for free with your membership, you will pay a monthly fee for that.

It only MIGHT cut down on someone else's expenses if they can reduce their tier donation after yours is added.
