What is the name of the white cloud that appears when your avatar is loading on the Second Lie Marketplace?

What do you mean that your avatar loads into MP?  That would be a first!

Yes, Ruth is her name...she is a 'she' whether your avie is male or female.

Ruth.  Technically, though, Ruth was a rather ugly female av, the Ur-Avatar that was reputed to be the mother of us all.  She was retired a couple of years ago in favor of a fluffy white cloud.  My guess is that LL wanted a kinder, gentler default image.  You can still see Ruth if you really want to, however. She's the spectre than appears if you use the Advanced (CTRL + D)   menu, navigate to Debug Settings, and set "RenderUnloadedAvatar" to TRUE.  Thereafter, you will never see the white cloud, only good ol' Ruth.
