Posting and Participation Guidelines for Parcels for Sale: Mainland

Hello!

Welcome to Parcels for Sale: Mainland! In order to ensure that you have an enriching and productive experience interacting with other Residents on the Forums, we want to define what generally belongs here in Parcels for Sale: Mainland and what does not. 

If you are confused about where to post in the Land forums and aren't sure what the differences are between Mainland, Full Private Islands, Homesteads, and Linden Homes, we encourage you to read these knowledge base articles.

If you are not familiar with the Community Standards and Forum Participation Guidelines in general, please familiarize yourself before posting!

Allowed:
We encourage you to participate by advertising your mainland parcels for sale. These are just guidelines, so please use your best judgment when posting if it is not explicitly stated here!

Not Allowed:
In addition to adhering to the Community Standards, please refrain from posting content containing “Looking for [land]” (See appropriate ‘Wanted:’ land forum), advertisements for your full private island or homestead region for sale (See forums ‘Regions for sale: Full Private Island’ or ‘Regions for sale: Homestead’, respectively), advertisements for your rentals (See the appropriate ‘Regions/Parcel for rent:’ forum). These are just guidelines, so please use your best judgment when posting if it is not explicitly stated here!

Spam/Bumping Guidelines: 
Please be mindful of how often you are posting content of the same variety on the Forums. There are very few instances where the same Thread can be posted in multiple Forums and posts should remain in their appropriate section. 

If you would like to “bump” a thread, please restrict bumping to once per 24 hour period and no more than three times per week. 

Please report inappropriate content for moderator review!

Moderating a discussion site is a daunting task; our forums alone see in excess of 10,000 posts per week. You can help by reporting abuse when you spot it. If you see a post you feel violates the Community Participation Guidelines, or our Terms of Service, then please click the Report Inappropriate Content link that appears in each post, and let us know why you feel the post is inappropriate.

We evaluate posts on a case-by-case basis and take into account the severity of the conduct and any history of past violations. Although we will make reasonable efforts to take into consideration the context and general sentiment of the blog or forum discussions, the actions taken (or not taken) by Linden Lab and our moderators are at our sole discretion, and we may act without warning or explanation. We provide the discussion areas of our sites as a service to Residents, and we will take the actions we deem appropriate to keep our sites a productive and enjoyable environment for all Residents.
