Creating account through Firestorm log in page

hi, i created an alt today through the firestorm log in page and i was wondering if im supposed to get an email? i know creating an account normally i get an email with a link i have to click within 24 hrs i dont know if its the same when you use the viewer to create one.

Almost all of my recent accounts have been via the Firestorm portal and and I don't think I've gotten any sort of email until I've gone to my dashboard to do the "verify email" thing.
