Question

those black lines seem to be in every avatar including mine, tested on both Firestorm and Second Life Viewer, and apparently is happening only with advanced light model and ambient occlusion

Did you recently update your Nvidia graphics card driver? Because I saw some people here and inworld having the exact same problem after that 🤔

This problem is definitely caused by the latest Nvidia "Game Ready" drivers. You can fix it in any of three ways.

  1. Roll back your graphics driver to the previous version
  2. Install the alternate "Studio ready" driver.
  3. Turn off Advanced Lighting Model in your viewer Preferences.

Installing the Nvidia Studio Driver worked fine for me, didn't had the issue after this anymore.
