Which trending "mesh bodies" don't have enough clothings yet?

It is very challenging work to perfectly rig things for curvy bodies (or anything that has too much over 90' curves.). That might be the reason there are lesser for those three as all of those three seems very curvy. I already got Kalhene Erika dev kit but made only one so far due to the reason.

Very much.  Slink Physique was great for that type, I thought.  It was out a long time, didn't update as aggressively as some, I don't think promoted itself well, and didn't stay popular enough to remain supported.  Okay, I get it.  I'll also admit bent knees in Slink Physique can be a little messy, though for all I like I'll accept that flaw.

But we need something like it.  Maitreya is at least thin unless you intentionally make it otherwise, but I'm a fan of neither the shoulders nor the elbows.  That leaves Legacy as the only non-Maitreya well-supported one that will at least let you be thin, which I keep thinking I have to get to be able to wear newly made clothes, but I don't think it has the ability to look good somewhat toned like Slink P does, and isn't even as supportive of thinness to the extent Slink P and Maitreya are.

So I'd hope with all the very curvy bodies getting a lot of support, that one or two could emerge the "winner" of the curvy look and we could get something slimmer to replace one or two or the others, hopefully supporting a bit of a toned look, the next generation of Slink Physique, essentially.  Or at least a Maitreya with better arms.

I agree! For me, I liked the direction Signature Alice seemed to be going in (I liked the leg shape), and that's always something I felt was missing in the market, in addition to an actual slender male body without super muscles. Sure, we could toss on Legacy and maybe use a BOM layer to get toned abs, but I really think what's missing is a body that has gently sculpted toned arms, legs, shoulders, etc. in addition. Athletic bodies for women are in short supply. I'm aware of Dev Nana, but I demo'd that once and it was a bit big for me with too much definition - maybe it takes a lot of tweaking to tone that one down a bit.

Hmm, maybe decide what kinds of bodies you're interested in designing for. Very curvy, gently curvy, somewhat petite/slender, etc. Then you can narrow it down from there.

From what I have seen, the demand or want for Roth (and Ruth) seems to be less than that of the starter avatars in SL. Even Opensim users don't want it. They prefer the shamelessly and blatantly copybotted commercial mesh bodies from SL. 

My suggestion would be Kalhene Erika. Great customer service and support by the creator & team. It's an affordable, versatile and gorgeous body with so many options out of the box that still doesn't get enough recognition from clothing creators.

The one that feels like it's trending most right now, but not up there with the top bodies yet, I would say is Reborne..

It's getting more and  more included, from what I can tell when I'm shopping for things..

The one I wish would get more attention is Kalhene Erika, but  that whole application thing messed them up I believe.. They really need more triple A creators on board before they can really get any steam going.. I'm hoping the ship hasn't sailed yet for that body, because I really do think it's well done..

I have been watching this thread since it came out, and reading the title again.. "Which trending "mesh bodies" don't have enough clothings yet?"  The word "Trending"  somehow caught me.  That is just it, a trend does not last,  and who is going to put a huge amount of effort into something that is likely to appeal to a smaller amount of the population for a short period of time?  Having said that, I think that if someone actually came out with the most spectacular body ever made yet,  it might have the longevity it would need to build a base of clothing makers.  When Maitreya started she made her own clothing to go with it which gave her a huge leg up, which I do not see the newer body makers doing.  Anyhow, just never did like that term "trendy".  I have never been one to "follow trends".  But that is just me.  To each his/her own I guess.

Reborn is now ranked #14, having passed Slink - Hourglass and Slink - Male.

If the current trend is maintained, it will be ranked #10 in 90 days, #7 in 180 days and #5 in 360 days.

This calculation takes into account the current trends of all other bodies.

It looks like the top 9 are going to hold for some time, but there seems to be a shakeup coming for 10 - 19.

Looks like it will take eBody - Reborn longer than my predicted half a year to make it past Legacy Perky.

Yes, I know the farther out you go, the less likely things are to actually end up. Same as with any forecast.

Time will tell.

Dont know if it makes a difference but all Altamura female bodies have the Sofia body as base with different heads - Jenny, Valentina, Clodet etcetc, and the male Atlamura body is Dante as base with different heads - Robert, Max, Romeo, Albert etcetc so Altamura female clothing fits all the female Altamura and Altamura male cothing fits all the male Altamura

Consolidating the body portion data might make total body numbers look attractive, but seeing as Altamura still titles their headless bodies and full bodies with individual names regardless of what base is used, reporting them consolidated would probably be a detrimental to determining individual make/model popularity, at least as far as full bodies go even if the head portion was the primary factor for purchase.

There are "creators" that rebadge Ruth/Roth heads and Ocacin bodies as something else, even offering dozens of the same head/body with different names, typically as a "complete avatar" and I don't consolidate those either.

The maker of the Tonic bodies also made quite a lot of quality clothes for them but it doesn't seem to have helped those bodies catch on in spite of being pretty good. Even support from template makers didn't seem to really help. I think for a body to catch on now, one of the big name creators like Blueberry or erratic has to get behind it. That's probably the key indicator for a "trending" body.

It makes me sad that Kalhene Erika didn't take off, it's a lovely body, both my girls have it and if there was enough clothing, it would be the main body for both of them. But the only reason they even wear these bodies at all now is because the clothing kit that comes included with the body is all mod, so I just make new textures for everything.

If you would make more (and more varied) clothing for Erika, I would probbaly buy it all.

IMO, Kalhene's public promotion of male addons for that body and the ones before it, turned off many potential mainstream buyers.
