I know that nudity is allowed on M rated sims but it seems it is not so on the marketplace. According to the guideline..

  • Strong sexual content, including:
    • Depictions of anatomical nudity, including exposed genitals and/or female nipples.
    • Sexual avatar animations, including ones depicting explicit or highly-realistic sexual intercourse or oral sex.
    • Content or items intended for use in, or primarily associated with, erotic or sexual roleplay.
    • Explicit or frequent references to sex or sexual activity.

So it looks like anatomical nudity of any sort has no place in an M rating. A quick look on the marketplace shows that this is not being enforced to any degree.

Here is the problem.  I have classic works of art. Some 500 years old and yes they have depictions of anatomical nudity, including "exposed genitals and/or female nipples".These works of art hang in museums all around the world and are viewed by thousands of children everyday. SHOCKING!

Technically these classics shold be rated A. At least according to the guideline.  Sorry.... putting "Birth Of Venus - Nicolas Poussin - 1636" in with hardcore pornography is just wrong LL.

Looking for feedback here

Yes I know.  Notice that there is no mention of nudity at all in moderate. That would imply that it is not allowed. You can chop someones head off but you can't show a females nipples. shakes head

Yes I know.

i don't mean to be contentious but if you knew the Moderate guidelines you posted were actually the Adult guidelines when you opened the topic for discussion and you know that the Moderate guidelines you've just posted are actually the real Moderate guidelines you knew already were the guidelines your marketplace items should follow then why ask in the first place?

as an exercise of discovery you could look under "Skins" with your maturity settings at Moderate and see if any images match your mind's eye for your products.

I'll do that but I already know what I'm going to see.

Greetings, All!

ANY Marketplace Product Listing that contain nudity must be set to the Adult Maturity Rating, as required by the Marketplace Listing Guidelines.

If you are aware of any listings that contain nudity that are not set to the Adult Maturity Rating, please flag the listing so that the issue can be addressed as quickly as possible.

No, this is not "snitching" on other users. This is you, the users, helping us, the service provider, keep the Marketplace clean and fair for all users by ensuring that all users continue to play by the same rules.  There are thousands of you, and a very limited number of us, to try to keep the Marketplace clean.

Please keep in mind that allowing some nudity on Moderate in world regions is completely separate from a web site since users MUST download the viewer in order to even get in world in the first place before they even manage to visit a Moderate Region that might or might not have content or avatars that may be showing nudity.

Anyone selling content on the Marketplace that contains nudity can, of course, add black censor bars or "dots" to any female nipples, such that the nipples and areola's are not visible on the image, or the same to the crotch area, or if male, such that the entire genitals are covered and no part is visible, and the listing could be set to the General Maturity Rating.

Think of it is as "watermark" that would not be visible on the content that the buyer actually purchases and by doing this, your listing can be set to the General Maturity Rating, garnering more views.

harumph. excuse moi. my mistake.

the automated Maturity reset was based solely on a keyword. with that term removed, we will see how long it lasts before it's flagged.

The obvious test of this would be for a gifted mesh sculptor to create representations of the Venus de Milo and the Nike of Samothrace - both on public display in the Louvre and old enough to be refreshingly free from copyright concerns, then list them both. Both are made of marble. Both have boobs. Nike's are covered, Venus's are not. See what rating you are forced to.
