How do you make a long flat surface in build mode?

Ok I have included a screen shot.  I can create an object.. make it flat... but I can't make it realllly wide and reallllly long like the green prim in the picture.

 

The green platform is only 2 prims. How did they do that?  I cant seem to get my block to get that big

the platform is probably made with two megaprims.

search the marketplace and i am sure you will find a megaprim hud. (allows you to choose from preset sizes and have them sent to you)

add info/comments to your post by using options > edit.

i have both and they both work.

eta: glad to hear! now remember megaprims cannot be resized, or they will snap back to 10m. other than that they can be changed in just about any way and still keep their dimensions.
