Uhm Dear i think that you can forget, cause i typed in Search from them Secondlife and found not a Single One of us.

They more like Real Hobby Playmates.

In newgrounds ToS it does say you will not...

post photographs containing nudity and/or sexual situations.

I'm not sure what you searched for but I got over 20k hits for "Second Life". It's all subscriber only content tho, and the newest activity is 4 years old...

You only have to type in their Search Secondlife and voila you find all the Secondlife Members they r already there, but you have to turn off Safe Search on the Website in the right Corner! What i saw, the Website is cool, we may post Nsfw so Erotic Art if some of you do, idk and its FREE 0US$ 0€!!!

https://www.reddit.com/r/SecondlifeGW/

You can find EVERYTHING on reddit, it's no surprise there are SL related pics and topics there. There is also an option to create your own sub-reddit space but I'm not sure whether it behaves in the way as profile feed. I know others can join it and post content in that space. Kinda like a group?

So i went a little crazy and am now subscribed to Suicide Girls as MsCharalyneBlackwood. I'm hoping to create a Second Life presence, but they may disagree. Worst case scenario my pictures get deleted. I still have access to the rest of the site. I'll still share my safer images here since they seem to be accepted into this community. 😃👍

Even if it doesn't work out at least you are branching out and trying new things while people search for a welcoming community.

All I'll say is I hope the flickr TOS mess doesn't create so much fracturing. I do love the SL community that's grown at flickr. I've no plans to dump my SL flickr... I might even pay for a 2 year subscription, but I need to sort out some personal things in my life first before I spend any more of my funds.

Community is my biggest concern. I've seen people bicker at one another over not understanding the new terms of service. Blaming people who make adult content. Ect. Fracturing really hurts overall visibility and the ability to connect with others in world. It hurts the SL community as a whole. Advertising, self promotion, and many other things. It sucks, they really isn't a better way to put it.

This is surprisingly well designed alternative!

I browsed it for a bit and it seems to offer similar features like Flickr. We have profiles feeds and community ones by the looks of it. Comment section, option to like photos and follow others as well.
And as per their TOS:
"Services are available to authorized representatives of legal entities and to individuals who are either (i) at least 18 years old to register for Premium Accounts or license Visual Content through 500px, or (ii) at least 14 years old, and who are authorized to access the Site by a parent or legal guardian. If you have authorized a minor to use the Site, you are responsible for the online conduct of such minor, and the consequences of any misuse of the Site by the minor. Parents and legal guardians are warned that the Site does display Visual Content containing nudity and violence that may be offensive to some."

It might actually be suitable alternative after all.

UPDATE:

When it comes to photo uploads it has many of the Flickr options for categorization with few extras that look better. Unfortunately I didn't see any option to add photos to a group or some sort of community and there is no option to tag others in your photos by the looks of it. There is this very cool NSFW checkbox thou! :D

Blaming People who make Adult Content, well, there are People who do Perfection in Photos, real Artists and on the other Hand, those who have no Experience in Photography and load up normal Snapshots.

Dal Niente, we know us from Flickr, i am there Sibylla Collins, Hi :)  your one of my Follower btw.

Like i do real Erotic Art and not dirty Porn or such Waste, and if we bann from everywhere Erotic, do we have than also to remove all Pantings in the Museum, the famous Artist RUBENS made, cause he painted Naked Woman in every Pose, is this than also Adult Trash or Pornography? No, its ART!

Its not our Fault, when thousand of Parents let their their little snotty Noses play around with the Computer, only that the find later Flickr, i am very for Flickr and such Platforms should be set only for Adult People, like we!

You make an excellent point. My posts on this topic have been centered around the important of community and trying to stick together no matter what type of art we chose to make. We all have a passion for photography and love to share our personal view of Second Life. Fracturing the community because of new rules is one thing but fracturing because groups play the blame game is worse.

And thank you for following. I'm such an amateur i'd call it more of a hobby than an art. Your work is something though.

Did you check the premium plans? I don't see any significant limitations other than you may have limit how many photos you can have on your profile and the amount of photos you can upload a day, which will affect only the people who upload multiple photos a day.

But doen´t 13 Days Trial mean, after those 13 Days you cant upload any Photos anymore?

And by Liked Photos that anyway seems not to be for Free Acc.

Thx

"You’re on a free Pro membership trial
You have unlimited uploads for 13 more days"

It doesn't look like you won't be able to upload photos after the period ends, you will just be limited according to their business plans.

Since I uploaded some of my photos there and already got likes on them by various people that use it. I noticed those people while all free accounts and not having over 1000 photos on their profiles, some of them were with over 5000 followers, which implies the platform is easily being used by free accounts.

In many cases, the distinction between Erotic Art, Porn, and Adult Trash is in the eye of the beholder.

Any platform is free to make its own rules, whether or not we agree.  Owners of Flickr making rules for their platform have nothing to do with the owners of a museum and what they choose to show.  There are plenty of places that will not show nude art, no matter who the artist is and no matter how many people consider it to be ART rather than PORN.

Given the number of paintings in a museum compared to the number of photos uploaded to Flickr, managing what is displayed in a museum is far easier than managing Flickr content.

Hopefully, those groups are better moderated than Flickr where people constantly post their pics in irrelevant groups.  I'm assuming, in some cases, it's to get as many Likes as possible which seems to be some people's prime reason for posting at all.

I'm not affected by the Flickr changes much as I think I might have only one single Moderate-rated photo, so I'm not planning to leave the platform or upgrade to Pro. For those who are, be very careful when looking for alternatives. Even 500px has acceptable content guidelines that will affect what types of NSFW content you can upload. I've often seen a LOT of this "unsuitable content" over at Flickr.

Re: Reddit and karma - it's a user rating system, basically. Other users can give you karma points to basically illustrate how useful to the community your posts are. Reddit's not really a great place for photography. It's not a very visual kind of platform and I don't think there's any way to build an actual portfolio/gallery (or at least, I've never seen one). More of a discussion board type thing.

This is one of two photo posts I've made on the subreddit r/secondlife. The only thing about the photo posts I don't like via reddit is that text is limited to the title/header. You can't post text in the message body.

The Karma points are based on how well a user's posts are upvotes. Most of my reddit posts usually have zero downvotes, but not enough to have high Karma. The few times I've been downvoted, whatever, not a huge deal to me, they're just my opinions. I don't lose sleep over it though I understand others may feel differently about that aspect.

Edit: Ayashe's explanation on Karma points is better than mine.

This is why I've found newTumbl to be the best alternative for me thus far. Even though I haven't posted as much as some SLers just yet, my posts run the gamut from the mundane, to a dash of x rated behavior. The only real restrictions nT has is towards users who directly harass others or post ultraviolent or politically damaging views.

So ya... be careful when on newTumbl, there nearly is everything under the sun that's posted on the platform.

I'm surprised to be honest. It's so rare to find websites that go totally yolo on user-uploaded content. I mean, they exist I'm sure. Probably not very mainstream, though.

Oh, I just ran a quick Google on NewTumbl and yeah...I'll definitely be avoiding that one.

Mind if I ask what you found?

The first link on Google for me shows a preview of a political rant. Further down, I see "newTumbl was created specifically for refugees of other social media sites." That's just...not the super chill community feel I'd be looking for if I wanted a new photo-sharing home. Sounds like somewhere people might go to complain after being banned from Twitter for shenanigans 😂

By newTumbl i also readed the TOS and they say the same NO Sexual Content, No Nudity or Explicit.

And i really loved to work with my Photos, i created in SL on Animare hundreds of Playmate Poses from real Playmates and i loved to experiment with the Art of Erotic Photos later to show it on Flickr as ART, cause it was Fun, but now, it seems we have no Place like Flickr to go, with create own Groups where we could invite others and give Beauty Awards.

I had on Flickr Likes already over 350 and i worked with Black Dragon Viewer.

Btw, did anyone tryed out that Website, i also found there some SL Photos--->

https://www.newgrounds.com/search/conduct/art?suitabilities=etm&c=4&terms=Secondlife

Idk, looks rather than only Anime and Manga Stuff.

Flicker has a thriving adult community outside Second Life content and I’ve been curious where they are going to end up. I’ve seen people say the Second Life user base is small (on Flicker) but I believe it’s a lot larger than people think. There seems to be some crossover with other communities and they seem to be in panic mode too. While they toss out various websites which might allow them to post there isn’t a “good’ one in terms of what Flicker had to offer.

I'm considering trying it. So far i've been testing Pixiv and DeviantArt. Pixiv seems more welcoming when it comes to moderate/adult content but it's geared towards artists (it started as a Japanese site for artists) but it also pairs well with other social media. DeviantArt i'm more or less using as storage and posting safe/moderate things just in case something happens to my Flicker account, however there are existing second life tags there and there seems to be some sort of community.

Alternative sites seem to have good aspects but lack others. Trial and error is going to be a little frustrating.
