Alt Paid premium for a year - what happens if I canx early?

So, I gave both of my alts premium accounts so I can play GoH more effectively. However, I decided they both don't need accounts...  

If I cancel one of my alt's premium accounts, is it prorated, or will it still run until the renewal date. I'm OK either way, but if it'll run until renewal I want to  cancel now so it doesn't auto renew.

Appreciate any advice. I know she'd have to give up her Linden home first. Neither own mainland.

Your Premium accounts are prepaid, so if you declare today that you intend to drop back to Basic, your account will be marked "Pending Downgrade", but you will remain Premium with all benefits until the end of the period that you have contracted for.  The only exception is that in order to declare that you are downgrading, you must abandon or sell all land that you own on the Mainland, including Bellisseria.  Therefore, it usually doesn't make sense to downgrade until days before the end of the period you have contracted for.
