Is it normal for the world map to show land in grey?

For the last couple of weeks I have noticed the map for my land I rent is currently grey and not matching the textures I have put down for the ground. Its a homestead and I am currently working on making it public in the next few days. Are private rented homesteads on the map always like this?

Not sure what is down there at the bottom but if you have a HILL SURROUND outside the boundaries of your sim it will look like a solid color.  That may be the answer.

Yeah I have a mountain surround on the outside of the sim. Its a different version than the other one I have more in depth I am guessing. I didn't realize with it It would do that to my land.
