Hi, I have the Genus Babyface W002 head and it looks great.  I originally had the Bitsy starter Avi and built upon that.  My problem is that I cannot get my head to be completely bald so that when I put on a colored hair base no other color shows through.  Please find attached two photos.  One showing the unremovable hair base, and the second one showing an add on different colored hairbase that is not big enough to cover the original one.   If anyone knows a way for me to get a completely flesh colored bald head please let me know.  Thank you.

   All right, I'd start with:

  • Double-check your current outfit folder, make sure there aren't any tattoos worn that include the hairbase.
  • Go into the Genus HUD, find the hairbase layer and clear it (seeing as the white hairbase ended up on top though, I don't think that's it).
  • Make sure that the hairbase isn't a part of the skin itself.

If none of the above works .. It'll be something more interesting going on.

I think Orwar is right. Looking at your pictures, I'd say the hairbase is probably part of your skin. See if HB appears in the name of the skin. If it does, it means the hairbase is embedded in the skin, in which case you should check in the skin folder if there is another skin file without any hairbase.

As for the Genus hud, open the Settings tab, then the Layer Control on the right handside. Make sure only "hairbase" is selected (i.e. highlighted) as shown on the picture, then click on the waterdrop left to it. It should clear the hairbase layer if the hairbase comes from the head settings. If the hairbase is still there once you've done this, then it most probably means it is part of your skin.
