Friends and group invites issue

For quite some time now and I don't understand why this is happening...When I get an offline friend request or group invite (that I am expecting) and I accept they don't show up on my groups or my friend list.  Is there any way to fix this or does someone know what I can do?  It's not good when the owners of a  company I work for in SL are in a different time zone than I am and there is no way they will be online when I am.  Any advice would be much appreciated.  Thank you!

There is a bug with that system. I understand that LL is aware of this but have yet to fix it.

At the moment, to ensure that these work, both parties must be online at the time the offer is made/accepted.

Many people are very unhappy about this! Particularly those who, like you, cannot be online at the same time.

If I can find the relevant Bug Report, I'll post it later (if somebody else doesn't beat me to it).
